After such a long day, we were so glad to be out of the car! Steve had never been in the ocean when it's actually nice and warm, so once we had everything up in the condo, we went straight for the beach!
We stayed on Navarre Beach, which is a sandbar that protects the coast. The nice thing is that we had access to both the gulf and the sound. The gulf had all the big traditional ocean waves you think of when you think of going to the ocean, and the sound had very nice, gentle waters that was perfect for little babies (and Matthew, who's not such a baby at age 3).
Look at all the beautiful white sand! It never got to the point where it burned our feet, even in the middle of the day. It's so perfect.
