My mother came down to visit last weekend and we went to the Greensboro Science Center for fun. This place is a bit strange because it's an aquarium, museum, and zoo at the same time. It doesn't sound that strange at first, but when you start out by looking at all the cool water animals, then move to an exhibit all about healthy bodies, then to one about weather, then another containing dinosaur bones, and finally move outside to look at all the land animals, it feels a little bit disjointed. At least we had fun. Hopefully the science center will resolve its identity crisis and figure out what it wants to be when it grows up. I'm personally voting for an aquarium/zoo hybrid, but that's because animals are way cooler than museum exhibits.
Ok, this has nothing to do with the center officially, but basically you can hire people dressed as dinosaurs to come to your parties! It was kind of awesome. Now on to the museum.
This little guy was just super cute.
Oh, and they had a petting zoo inside the actual zoo.
I love the idea of a museum, aquarium and zoo all in one place. It looks like it was a lot of fun!
